A message from our Missions Pastor
Hey Legacy Family,
Wow, Missions Sunday was a great day! It expressed how much we love to invest in missions and how we love the community and world around us. Thank you, Legacy, for being a church that understands how to give and how to love.
Hopefully you were able to see our missional impact from all the videos confirming the work we do for the sake of the Gospel. For example, partnering with Real Options helped them express the message of the Gospel and this past year, 63 people gave their lives to the Lord. Outstanding! Our partnership with the Seed Company assisted in starting a translation for people who have never heard the Word of God before. Knowing that truly moves my heart to joy! As we learned in service, our work doesn’t stop here because we have more to accomplish for the cause of Christ. Let's not forget that we have been commissioned to spread the Word to those who don’t know Him within our sphere of influence. And if there is anything I’m learning about the Legacy Family, it is that we will rise to the occasion and respond to the mission at hand. We have a spiritual gift of giving within our church; my prayer is that we give even more to the general fund so we can accomplish even more for the kingdom of God.
I do want to take a moment and say we had an amazing Worship and Prayer Night! The quality of sound and the musicianship was flawless! Thank you, Pastor Dustin and the worship team, for leading us into worship. If you missed it, be on the lookout for our next Worship and Prayer Night because it was truly incredible.
I also want to recognize the Missions Action Team, who did a wonderful job in supporting Missions Sunday by giving great feedback on how to showcase our partners. I especially want to thank Darien Clark for editing all the wonderful partner videos and Maddie Conrad for assisting with the Legacy Missions booklets.
I want to make you aware of a project coming up with Real Options. We will be hosting a baby shower for mothers who went to the resource center for information about their options. We are coming alongside of these women and celebrating their decision to raise their child. In our Missions Spotlight, you will see a video from Jacky Johnson and Lori Price, co-leaders of our Drive-Through Baby Shower Campaign. Please pray for this project and engage in it as the Lord is leading you.
The Lord is opening more doors for us here at Legacy Church so please keep praying, keep giving, and keep impacting your sphere of influence for the glory of God.

Drive-Through Baby Shower Campaign |

Real Options is a pro-life pregnancy resource center that exists to empower women, men, and young people to make physical, emotional, and spiritual choices that affirm life and health. Legacy Church is partnering with Real Options to host a
drive-through style baby shower.
Officially starting on Mother's Day, but available now, shop for needed baby items from the shower registry. Gifts need to be delivered by June 11th to allow time for our volunteers to sort, wrap, and organize all the gifts for all the moms-to-be.
Then on Saturday, June 26th from 11am - 2pm, our expectant moms will "drive through" our baby shower to pick-up the baby items they need as they prepare for the precious life of their baby.
You can participate in three ways:

Purchase or contribute towards an essential gift item from the baby shower online registry (items will be automatically delivered to Real Options in preparation of our shower)

Purchase a gift card from the registry. Gift cards will be used to purchase the larger priced or remaining items as needed.

Sign-up to volunteer for the Baby Shower on Saturday, June 26th. Volunteers are needed the day of the shower as well as the week before to help set-up, sort, and prepare the gifts.

Children's Hunger Fund - Food Pak Campaign
Thank you, Legacy Church, for our first Food Pak campaign with Children's Hunger Fund. All of our boxes are on their way to churches in the DFW area for distribution to families struggling in poverty. We exceeded our expectation by filling 152 boxes! Way to go Legacy Church!

Belle & Sparrows Golf Tournament
The competition was tough but our amazing foursome did us proud at the Belle & Sparrows Birdies for Belles Tournament. They tied for 4th place and were about five strokes out of 1st! Thank you Dustin Chappell, Paul Olson, Phillip Jannetto, and Kyle Groombridge - way to go!

What a fabulous time we shared together during the Missions Sunday morning service as well as the amazing Worship and Prayer Night on Sunday evening. We hope you felt God's presence in the room and are equally excited for what the next year of missions will hold.
