DECEMBER
Ben Mere Bandstand in Sunapee Harbor
Holiday in the Harbor and all about the greater Lake Sunapee area, usually replete with diverse festivities, will be far quieter this year, but that in no way diminishes the love, gratitude and sense of sharing we all feel. We count our blessings... family, friends, and neighbors... "Happenings” readers all.

Last week's storm unceremoniously dumped over 40 inches of snow and it’s stayed cold ever since, thus everything is white and lovely here in this most different of holiday seasons.

A hearty “Thank you" to all the local Highway Departments, Police and various local contractors, who worked through the night and early morning to allow for safe passage of all essential travel.
CUE THE JOYFUL MUSIC
From Great Britain comes "Carols of the Bells" by Her Majesty’s Royal Marines.
Not to be outdone by the Brits … the U.S. Army Band presents a Blue Grass Christmas Medley.
Downton Abbey’s Hugh Bonneville and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir
LET'S GET (Holiday) ARTSY
HAPPY WINTER SOLSTICE!
Monday marked the Winter Solstice… shortest day of the year, but today we’ve gained 3 additional minutes rewarding us with 9 hours and a minute of daylight… onward to Springtime. On Sunday, Pluto explained it all in his inimitable way.
ICE CASTLES IN UTAH
A fascinating Time Lapse photo shows the construction of the fabulous Ice Castles in Utah.
LOCAL SUPPORT
It's been a tough year for small businesses. If you're still on the lookout for gifts, local gift cards are always a great option and a good way to support your neighborhood businesses.
WARMEST WISHES
Happenings is going to take a break next week, we’ll see you all bright and early in the new year. Shout out to 2021: We’re counting on you to be a lot better than 2020. The bar is pretty low, so step up!

Until we meet again, Project Sunapee extends our very best wishes to you and yours for a safe and very Happy Holiday, be it Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa or however you choose to celebrate. CHEERS!
May you and yours, stay healthy and well… and always be neighborly.

Please take very good care of yourselves, and those in your family and community.
