Important Reminders from AgSafe BC
The COVID challenge continues for all employers in BC and as we head into the winter, please take this opportunity to revisit and review your COVID safety plans on your farm.

New infection cases are rising in BC, so please review and consider the following:

• Worker education
• Worker self assessment and symptom reporting measures
• Visitor screening and recording
• Potential sources of COVID infection on your farm and control measures
• Personal protection equipment, respirator supplies for workers, hand sanitizer reserves
• Recent Public Health guidance and directives

Think about how your farm business would adapt if your workers could not attend if they are required to self isolate following an exposure.

The current pandemic can also create further challenges for managing our farms and helping one another in the event of animal disease.

Please consider the following measures for your farm.
• Stock a reserve of respirators, filters, and eye goggles.
• Stock a reserve of disinfectants.
• Do you have a supply of disposable coveralls and gloves?
• Do you have suitable soap and warm water hand washing facilities at your farm?

AgSafe advisers are available to assist you with your on-farm safety and COVID measures.
