Honoring Rabbi Bearman

Dear TBC Community:

As you know, Rabbi Bearman will soon be concluding her tenure at Temple B'nai Chaim. In fact, in less than a week, she will be leaving for St. Louis where she will spend the second half of June getting settled in her new city. We are excited for her as she begins this new adventure and for our congregation as we eagerly anticipate welcoming Cantor Harriet Dunkerley in July.

For six years, Rabbi Bearman has tirelessly served the TBC family, and we know that she has touched so many of our lives. In honor of her dedication to our community, we have chosen to celebrate Rabbi Bearman in two ways.

First, we are inviting everyone to a special Shabbat experience on June 12th. We will begin with an abbreviated Shabbat service at 7pm and will then transition to a Farewell Ceremony where congregants, TBC staff, community members, and clergy will reflect on Rabbi Bearman's time at TBC.

Second, we have decided to honor the time, energy, and spirit that Rabbi Bearman has invested in our congregation by asking our congregants to invest their own resources into TBC's future. Whether you are able to give $18, $180, or $18,000, we ask that you consider making a contribution to the Temple B'nai Chaim Operating Fund in Rabbi Bearman's honor (to contribute, click here).  And regardless of whether you are able to contribute financially, we encourage all of our congregants to consider how they can invest their time and energy in TBC's future. We are always looking for more volunteers!

On June 15th, Rabbi Bearman will depart for St. Louis and the next chapter of her rabbinate. We hope that you will join us as we strive to make her last Shabbat with TBC meaningful and memorable.

Sincerely,
The Executive Committee of Temple B'nai Chaim
