Above you see a sample of what Zoom participants have been seeing each Shabbat morning, with a view of the Holy Ark and our torahs as well as the sanctuary. This is, in some way, a dress rehearsal of what your experience would be on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Please join us for a Saturday morning service to see for your yourself how interactive our services are and will be.
Last Friday night, many folks joined us for Kabbalat Services with our Holy Day Hazzan, Sara Geller. Not only does she have a beautiful voice but she is most engaging and adds so much to our service.
Here are a few things to note:
Beginning this Friday, Rabbi Jay will be conducting a morning service every Sunday - Friday beginning at 8:15 AM. He will be blowing the shofar as is the tradition in the month of Elul each morning. What a nice way to beginning the day - our Jewish alarm clock.
We are beginning to receive responses for services, New Year Greetings and Book of Remembrance listings. The deadline for Greetings and Listings is September 4th. We encourage you to send in your requests sooner rather than later, particularly due to issues with the USPS.
If you have concerns about how to navigate the services on Zoom and the Live Stream, please let us know by responding to this email. We will try to partner you with someone who can help you become proficient with this technology.
A CALL OUT to anyone who would like to be a Zoom Sheliah (Zoom Emissary) and help congregants learn how to connect with Zoom. Please reply to this email if you can assist.
