Some beautiful summer days...
The sun has certainly been shining, and temps and humidity are not quite so high. That makes for some really wonderful days outside. Whether you garden, hike, bike, walk, run, or play, these are days to enjoy. And it's cool enough in the evening to leave the windows open, or sit outside with a cocktail (either alcoholic or non!) by the fire and really try to relax. Once you come inside, you can take out that project you're working on, and make a little progress. It can be a few stitches, or a whole evening of sewing, as long as you're moving forward. And moving forward gives us such a feeling of accomplishment!

Since safe gatherings are still limited to a small amount of people, any classes or get-togethers here at the shop are on hold. Some of you, though, like to use Yankee Pride as a dropoff point to meet your machine quilters, and you can still do that. We ask that you call ahead so we know you're coming, and when you arrive, you and your quilter can meet in our lower level classroom, at the back of the room to give our shopping customers plenty of space.

As a reminder to our customers, if you are coming to see us:

*Masks are mandatory, for both customers and staff.
*Please sanitize and/or glove at the door when you come in.
(If you sanitize only, your hands must be completely dry before you touch any fabric)
*Store capacity is 4 customers at once.
*We will remain closed on Sundays until further notice.

We are still processing orders to ship, and Store Pickups, so feel free to shop online if you're not comfortable coming in. We're doing our very best to make your Yankee Pride experience a good one.

 New Block of the Month

We are starting another BOM later this year, and it's perfect for those who like to make patriotic quilts and Quilts of Valor - it's "American Glory" from Wilmington Prints. This is an 8-month program, with some fabulous blocks, as you can see here. The finished quilt is 61" x 81" - great for a twin-sized bed.
*The cost will be $21.50/month.
*This BOM starts in November 2020.

If want to get in on the fun, please call the shop at 872-9300 or email us at [email protected].

For those who were on the fence, we still have space if you want to sign up for "Nebula". It's a gorgeous quilt, and one where you can work on your piecing skills. This BOM will run from January through October of 2021. Call the shop and sign up today!

Recent Fabric Arrivals

These are the highlights of recent arrivals. Click on the photo for a closeup, and click here if you're interested in purchasing any of these fabrics by the yard on our website:

Oceans Away

by Clothworks

Trending this summer (other than holiday fabrics), we're getting lots of underwater creatures. Both the turtles and the small sea creatures (bottom center and right in photo) make great masks, and as a whole, this is a really fun line!

Morning Glory - Shimmer

by Northcott

A little gold sparkle and some rich coordinates make this a pretty group to work with. Either of the floral fabrics would be a stunning bag, or a beautiful quilt border.

You Are Amazing

by Clothworks

The wonky star prints are lots of fun, but the rainbow of positive words (center in photo) is flying out of the shop! We've only had it a few days, and half the bolt is already gone. This group is also great for masks and school accessories.

Various lines

by Elizabeth's Studio

The most unique fabric here is the pears (top in photo). We're used to apples in the fall, but we love these juicy pears just as much. The sky fabric (center in photo) is a keeper for you landscape enthusiasts, and fall quilters will love the leaf print (bottom in photo). There's something for everyone here!

Perfect Union

from Laundry Basket Quilts

by Andover

Edyta Sitar is quite the designer! This line, in lovely blues and beiges, has prints of different sizes - a great combination for making a gorgeous quilt. Who doesn't have fabrics in their stash that will go with this group?

Swept Away

by Northcott

Oh, we saw this line in a fabric catalog, and were so excited when we found out that Judy had ordered some of it! We may not be able to get to the beach this summer, but we can certainly make ourselves a quilt that sends us there in our imaginations. Let's get sewing, and dreaming of next summer.

Arctic Wonders

by Northcott

Here is another group of trending prints - underwater creatures. Though in this case, we've got some animals who like the land, too. The detail in these fabrics is wonderful, with shading, color change, and realistic-looking motifs. The wave print (second from top in photo) looks abstract and modern more than anything else. Have some fun with it!

Christmas Woodland

by Northcott

Yes, more winter/holiday prints! It's just what you imagine the forest animals doing at Christmas, decorating their own tree in the quiet, peaceful woods (photo at right). The coordinates in this line (photo above, left) can also work in other nature projects you may have planned.
