Procuring COVID-19 Safety Supplies
As we return to our campuses following the Stage 4 Roaring Back Guidelines , departments are incorporating many new processes related to face coverings, cleaning, disinfection, and sanitization into their daily operations. We want to make sure offices and departments are able to easily order the COVID-19 safety supplies and personal protective equipment (PPE) that are essential for the safety of our employees, students, and guests. To support this need for all departments, the University has developed a process to centrally order and distribute many of the necessary safety supplies –– at no cost to your department –– to keep our campus community safe.

Units at all campuses can use the Bengal Depot COVID-19 Supplies and Signs Form to request the following COVID-19 supplies for departmental use:

  • Hand sanitizer
  • Floor decals (directional and physical distancing)
  • Chair decals (physical distancing)
  • Disposable face coverings (for guests)
  • Sanitizing Wipes
  • Disinfectant spray
  • Disposable gloves (only recommended for some processes)

Please coordinate orders within your department to ensure the Bengal Depot can best support the distribution of supplies. Orders placed from our Meridian, Twin Falls, and Idaho Falls campuses will be sourced out of Pocatello and delivered to your campus location.

If you have questions about the availability of specific items or the delivery processes, contact Bengal Depot at (208) 282-3515 or bengaldepot@isu.edu . Please contact Environmental Health and Safety at (208) 282-2310 or ehs@isu.edu with safety-related questions about supplies or PPE.

For non-COVID-19 related safety supplies and PPE for normal operations (clinics, research, etc.), please continue to procure through the traditional sources and vendors you have used previously. The University is working to develop additional pipelines to centrally source PPE to support units who may experience shortages if external vendors are unable to meet demand. Specific information will be provided to those groups when this process is developed.

As a reminder, a different process will be used to distribute cloth face coverings for employees and students. An order has been submitted on behalf of the entire campus community, and distribution will commence in early August. Employees should continue to wear personal cloth face coverings in the meantime. If you know of departments or employees who do not have face coverings and need them for immediate use, supervisors can use this form to obtain face coverings until our bulk order arrives.
