Students Need to Take Action by Feb. 28
Surry Community College will move to Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all students by Monday, February 28. This required feature will add an additional layer of security to your user account.
When you log into your college account, you will have an extra verification step to ensure you are who you say you are. Students, don't get locked out of your classes! Perform this activity before the deadline.
Anyone needing technical assistance during operating hours can contact the Helpdesk at (336) 386-3434. You can also drop by the Student Technology Help Desk in the Library (R-Building) Dobson campus.

Attention Moms: Survey Opportunity
Moms and Teens for Safe Dates eStudy: Researchers at the UNC Injury Prevention Research Center have developed an online program to help moms who have been exposed to domestic violence prepare their teens to engage in healthy relationship and are currently enrolling moms and teens in a study to test the program.
Moms and teens who participate in the study will be asked to complete the online Moms and Teens for Safe Dates program and will receive up to $180 in gift cards for completing the study activities.

Tech Tip: Proctorio Testing Software
You can take steps to make sure everything is set up correctly on your computer before it’s test time.
- If you are asked for a password, that usually means that something is not connecting properly. For more information, go to Proctorio Password Issue .
- Ensure that your Google Chrome version is up to date and clear your cache and cookies. For more information, go to Browser Information.
- Make sure that Proctorio is allowed on all sites. You can check that by going to the three-dot icon in the top right-hand corner of your browser, then "More tools," "Extensions," select the Proctorio extension, click on "Details" and make sure that the extension is allowed "On all sites."

UNCW Transfer Events
Students at Surry Community College are guaranteed admission to UNC Wilmington through the Pathway to Excellence program.
This pathway guarantees admission to UNCW for students completing an Associate in Arts or Science, with a cumulative GPA of at least a 2.5 in transferable, college-level course work from SCC.
Jalen Little, UNCW Transfer Student Success Coordinator, will be available to meet with students on Monday, February 21, March 21, and April 18 from 10 - 2 in the Knights Grill.

Spring Payment Plan Available for Mid-Term
Surry Community College's Spring Payment Plan for mid-term courses will open on Feb. 18 and close on March 14 at 6 p.m. Half of the tuition is due at enrollment with the other half due in April.
