LA BELLE SOIRÉE & COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS

We have received more than 35 submissions for Community Connections so far and they all look like they will be so much fun! Community Connections events are open to ALL Normandale and Extended French families, whether or not you are attending La Belle Soirée. Check out our preview of Community Connections.

Community Connections Preview

We are still missing events for some grades for both kids and parents. Last year we had around 70 events, let's see if we can have even more this year!!

Here are the groups we don't have a party specifically for:

  • Kindergarten girls
  • First grade girls
  • Fourth grade boys, parents
  • Fifth grade girls

It would be great to have at least 4 events for each group in each grade, so don't hold back! Ideas for Community Connections can be found on this page. Consider hosting a CC with multiple hosts to split the costs associated with the party! Once you're ready, you can submit your event here. Thanks for considering and if you have any questions please reach out to Berit Allar ([email protected]).

WE NEED YOUR HELP to make La Belle Soirée a success. Please consider donating your time before, during, or after the gala. Volunteer shifts relatively short so they are accessible to all on the weekend. Please click here to view the sign-up. Thank you!

Each year, our community tries to raise funds to send interested teachers to the gala. To cover those costs, we’ve added a donation form in the Normandale Membership Toolkit. No amount is too small. Merci Beaucoup!

FROM THE HEALTH OFFICE: HEARING SCREENING

Hearing screening will take place on Tuesday, November 1 for all Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students.

As with any school screening, you have the option to opt out of your student participating. If you have questions or wish to opt out, notify the health office at 952-848-4166 or via email: [email protected]

We need many volunteers to help with these screenings! Please sign up here!

NORMANDALE VOLUNTEERS

We have several critical roles to fill this year:

  • We need 2 coordinators to step up and organize the Scholastic Book Fair, scheduled for February 2023. Without coordinators, we will not be able to host this beloved annual event.
  • We need additional co-chairs for La Kermesse (carnival) on May 13.
  • We need additional co-chairs for Field Day on June 1.

There are many other roles to fill as well. Parents, we need you to volunteer!
