I feel so incredibly grateful for the community I have found in the Lutheran Episcopal Campus Ministry. I was very hesitant to join a campus ministry after some encountered difficulties when I first started at UNC. Then COVID hit in March of my freshman year and I was really on my own in my journey with God. It was a wonderful time of growth and in 2020 on my 20th birthday I was affirmed as a Lutheran follower. I continued my solo journey with God, but was praying for guidance to come out of my shell in my senior year and seek out community.
I am so thankful to have been guided to the LECM. Every week my heart feels restored, joyful, and filled with love. It is a wonderful thing to celebrate God, but it is even more joyous to do it with friends who bring light into your life. I am proud to be part of such a wonderful organization and to have encouraging support from the Lutheran community. I am especially proud to be part of an organization that is open and welcoming to as well as celebratory of anyone who seeks to worship God and invite Jesus into their hearts. God is for anyone and everyone and I am incredibly appreciative to be a part of a community for anyone and everyone.
