President’s Note

Happy fall to everyone! It seems like these past few weeks have been incredibly busy for everyone. You are all so valuable in everything you do for your students, their families, and your communities, and I’m truly grateful to each of you for the many ways in which you go above and beyond to keep music study alive in Texas.

Your officers have been hard at work proofing theory materials, planning conference activities, dealing with financial details, and keeping tabs on many different elements of the day-to-day life of TMTA. We’ll be attending the MTNA/TMTA Competitions in Waco this weekend in conjunction with a regular officers’ meeting. You should also know that I’ll be attending the Professional Music Teachers of New Mexico’s annual conference in Clovis on your behalf the following weekend.

Also, MTNA Conference early registration ends on December 5! Take advantage of the $100 “early bird discount” and join your fellow TMTA members in Reno. We are especially excited to highlight all of our Texas students, teachers, and presenters who will be there in March.

Stay warm, stay engaged, and stay fulfilled!

Richard
