Principal's Message

Good Afternoon EAMS Students and Families:

Final Grades : Earlier this trimester, we shared the Grading Guidelines during COVID-19 Digital Learning . Again, the purpose of this policy is to recognize that everyone’s situation is different during these unprecedented times, and with that in mind, we want to give families the ability to make the best choice for them. All grades will default to “Pass/No Pass” at the end of the trimester. The forms below are for students and families who wish to elect the grades or incomplete for some or all courses during the trimester. If the student and family are fine with the “Pass/No Pass” option, then no form is needed.

COVID-19 Grading (English) (please return by 6/19)

8th Grade Students & Families: The EAMS PTO has a short survey linked here to gauge everyone’s interest in having an August Moving On celebration. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with the PTO. Based on the responses to the Moving On letter, here are answers to common questions:
  • the virtual ceremony video will be published to YouTube and shared with everyone, and we expect it to be approximately 30 minutes in length;
  • the traditional 8th grade video created by Mrs. Reece will also be posted to YouTube to be shared;
  • the virtual ceremony can be watched prior to driving through the school parking lot or you can park and watch at EAMS;
  • For safety purposes, everyone will remain in their car--students will receive their Moving On certificate, any individual awards, and a gift from the school, which is a yard sign to commemorate the occasion.
  • If you cannot make it to the middle school either of those evenings, please let the front office know and we can make individual arrangements. Also, these items could be picked up when students receive yearbooks in mid-June.

Final Pickup/Dropoff: We are looking to schedule a final pickup/dropoff for students, families, and staff the week of June 15th. A final date will be selected when we have a yearbook delivery confirmation.

Have a great weekend!
