After months of only being able to offer digital services the Nevins Library is so happy to announce that we will be offering curbside services starting June 1. This means you'll be able to order books and dvd's from the catalog and pick them up at the library after following our procedures. We will also offer printing of documents and Notary Public services by appt. We are thrilled to be able to at least get some physical materials into the hands of our patrons.

Please read the instructions carefully. Until statewide delivery returns, we will only be able to access materials that "live" in our library.

My name is Alison Asmus and I am the new Teen Services Librarian. I am originally from Connecticut, but I love living in Massachusetts.. In my free time, I love reading, watching movies on Netflix, doing yoga, and spending time with my friends and family. I plan to host some fun virtual programs this summer, including virtual movie days and virtual summer reading programs. I will also be hosting a Teen Check-In on June 10, to allow teens time to hang out virtually and talk about how they've been spending their time of social distancing. I'm looking forward to working with the teen patrons of Nevins Memorial Library.

Netflix Watch Party

Join us every other Friday at 3 pm to watch a movie on Netflix. Chat with others while the movie is on. This month, we'll watch movies on Friday, June 12 and Friday, June 26. You must have a Netflix account and Netflix Party extension for Google Chrome to join. Then, email Alison at aasmus@nevinslibrary.org for the link to join in the fun!

June Virtual Teen Check In - Zoom

Looking for something new to read, watch, or do? Join us for to our Virtual Teen Check In on Wednesday, June 10, at 4 pm, to check in with other teens, tell them how you've been spending your time, and get ideas for what to do next! Email our teen librarian, Alison, at aasmus@nevinslibrary.org to receive the Zoom link to join!

Believe it or not, the Summer Reading season is almost here, and the Children's Department will start it off with a live Zoom broadcast from Wildlife Encounters – which means everyone gets a front-row seat to see the animals! Children will learn about seven species, including a Fennec Fox – you'll love its huge ears – and an alligator, and they'll be able to ask questions at the end of the program.
