Beginning Sunday, May 9 at 5 pm
Spring has come to New York City and the COVID infection rates in the City are declining. Thanks be to God! Restaurants, theaters, museums, and other venues are beginning to re-open and we are planning to begin in-person worship again at St. Bart’s on Sunday, May 9 (Mother's Day) at 5 pm. We will begin by welcoming a smaller 25-person congregation to attend this service. It will be important to reserve a seat. Later, we plan to increase numbers gradually to a maximum of 60 persons sometime in June. We will continue to ask all attendees to remain masked through the service and to maintain appropriate social distancing. Learn more and register here.

The whole world has been living through the trauma of COVID-19 over the past year and some months. How do we emerge in a way that allows us to simultaneously acknowledge the pain we've endured and move forward? Join the Reverend Peter Thompson for a discussion based on Shelly Rambo's wide-ranging book Resurrecting Wounds: Living in the Afterlife of Trauma, which considers Jesus' resurrection, early Christian history, the Protestant Reformation, racial oppression, and militarized conflict—all through the lens of trauma. The Jesus movement arose in the hills of Galilee, but quickly established itself in the large cities of the Mediterranean. Professor Larry Welborn of Fordham University, a St. Bart’s favorite, explores the lives and relationships of the ordinary believers who joined the churches established by the apostle Paul in Ephesus, Philippi, Thessalonica, and Corinth.

Summer Camp at St. Bart's is open for registration! Children 2 through 6 years old will enjoy a wide variety of activities at our day camp, from games and athletics, music and movement, and arts and crafts, to science experiments, yoga and drama for the older campers. Our shaded rooftop playground and newly renovated 26,000 square foot gym provide the setting for hours of fun under the supervision of our experienced camp counselors. Each session is two weeks. 10% sibling discount.
