2022 ELCA Youth Gathering: Boundless — God Beyond measure
|
Every three years, 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives. The 2022 ELCA Youth Gathering will be held July 24-28, 2022, in Minneapolis, with the two pre-events, the Multicultural Youth Leadership Event (MYLE) and the tAble, scheduled for July 21-24, 2022.
For more information about the gathering and updated COVID-19 protocols, check out the ELCA’s website: www.elca.org/gathering and for questions, please contact our ELCA Youth Gathering Synod Coordinator Deacon Ben Remmert.

A system is showing signs of eventual strengthening as it meanders in the southwest Gulf of Mexico. It could become a tropical storm by the weekend. This could affect the far eastern portion of our synod.
This is the time to prepare. Information and tools for becoming a 72 hour Lutheran as well as resources for local areas can be found on the synod Disaster & Recovery Website.

Central African Republic Sunday | October 17, 2021
|
Again in October, our synod will celebrate our companion synod relationship with the Central African Republic. Please mark your church calendars for CAR Sunday on October 17th. You may want to focus on the ELC-CAR with prayers and special offerings on that day or for the whole month of October.
If some other dates during the year work better for your congregation, that is fine, as well. Again, Bishop Rinehart will provide sermon suggestions and the synod CAR Team will make a video available for your use.

"So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new!” Give thanks and praise to God for reminding us that we are made new each day through God’s mercy and grace.
