The Foundation is looking forward to our annual Online Auction, which is just around the corner! Mark your calendars for September 20th, when you'll be able to preview available items for one week followed by two weeks of online bidding.
The online auction is a fun way to help our library while winning gift certificates for local restaurants, garden centers, health & wellness services, online art classes, flowers and more!
How can you help?
Here is a wonderful way to support both our Library and our community during this challenging time:
Purchase a gift certificate from one of the many wonderful local non-profit organizations or businesses, then donate it to our auction! You'll be helping the community and supporting the library at the same time. Donations other than gift certificates will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Marbletown voters will go to the polls on Tuesday, September 15, 2020, to vote for Stone Ridge Library trustees and to vote on the proposed budget. No budget increase is proposed for 2021. The proposed 2021 tax appropriation is $277,964.
Board of Trustees candidates nominated by petition for the four-year seats are Susanne Warren and Rob Miraldi.

 Here is an article about Innisfree Garden in Millbrook, written by Donna Calcavecchio, aka Donnatella de Rosa, of the Library's Circulation Staff, featured in Roll Magazine in June 2011, showcasing Innisfree, a charming local destination. Barbara Seaman, our web Manager, recently visited the gardens, and a conversation ensued in the lunchroom with colleagues, including the author. We learned about this piece and decided to share it with you.

 Hard Going: A Bill Slider Mystery by Cynthia Harrod-Eagles. A nice man, by all accounts, Lionel Bygod has shockingly been bludgeoned to death in his study. DI Bill Slider and his team must tease apart the victim's life both for motive and next of kin notification. They subsequently investigate the housekeeper's shady family, the law practice Bygod abandoned abruptly several years earlier, and, most surprisingly, his connection with one of England's most popular stage actresses. A typical British procedural given a 21st-century flair with believable protagonists, a diverse ensemble cast, and contemporary issues.
