The ongoing controversies, including claims of voter suppression, allegations of voter fraud including ballot "harvesting," Florida's restoration of voting rights for felons, and calls for universal vote-by-mail are making 2020 the most interesting (and contentious) election cycle in recent memory. Here is your chance to hear directly from the official responsible for the security and integrity of your elections. Lisa Lewis has been serving the citizens of Volusia County as Supervisor of Elections since 2016, incorporating 13 years of elections experience. Since becoming Supervisor, she has diligently worked to cross-train her staff, enhance cybersecurity and conduct open and transparent elections. Her open-door policy is a welcoming opportunity for all to observe the process. Lisa previously worked in the banking field for over 15 years and as an office manager for a local fernery for over seven years. She is past Chairman of the Stetson Baptist Christian School Board, having served for eight years. Lisa was born and raised in DeLand and has always lived and worked in Volusia County. She is married to Dwight Lewis. They have a son, two daughters, four grandsons, a great-granddaughter, and two lovable English bulldogs.
