LSAW is saddened to report that James A. Coan, Sr., PLS # 33647 passed away on August 8, 2021.
Jim is a Past President of LSAW and was honored as Surveyor of the Year in 2010. Most recently, Jim was serving as a Director for the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS) which included serving as a member of their Executive Committee.
A complete write-up on Jim and his many contributions to both LSAW and the survey profession will be included in the next issue of the Evergreen State Surveyor magazine.
We are shocked and saddened by this news. As more information becomes available we will notify the membership. Our thoughts remain with Jim’s family during this trying time.
