Not quite one-year-old Dante Ezequiel Flores seems to be reaching out to the Rev. Mary Barnett at his baptism last Sunday (June 6). His christening was the second in week at Holy Trinity, but Dante's journey to the baptismal font was far from routine. His mom Danisha (holding candle) spent five years on bed rest due to a heart ailment. She became pregnant with twins, but Dante's brother died in utero. The surviving twin was born prematurely, and it was a while before Dante could come home to Danisha and dad Lukas (holding his son). Yet there Dante was at our church last Sunday, full of life -- indeed, a new life in Christ. Let us welcome the newly baptized!

Say If Ain't So, Valerie!

Valerie Hall
Parish Administrator
|
|
Valerie Hall will be retiring at the end of June after 18 years as our parish administrator. Her title hardly does justice to her role in our parish, holding down the fort through regime changes, pandemics, break-ins and breakdowns, as well as the daily thick and thin of running the place. She will be sorely missed! If you would like to contribute to a retirement purse, please send a check to the church or put one in the plate by June 21. Checks should be made out to "Church of The Holy Trinity," with "Val's gift" on the memo line.

Weds. Noon Prayers
Next Wednesday (June 16) we will start doing noontime prayer. I’ll play and officiate (unless others want to jump in to lead the prayers). The music will be Taize inspired - simple, contemplative, and easy to sing! We will meet in the chapel, where there should be plenty of AC. All are welcome! -- Peter Van Siclen
