Whidbey Community Foundation Announces 4th Annual Grant Cycle
Applications Accepted Beginning July 1, 2021

Whidbey Community Foundation is pleased to announce our 4th Annual Grant Cycle. Priority topic area for funds are childhood wellness, environmental conservation and sustainability projects, and racial equity grants for Whidbey nonprofits.

Any organization that operates with a charitable status or for a charitable purpose on Whidbey Island is eligible to apply for a grant. The organization does not need to have a headquarters or physical presence on Whidbey, so long as services are provided here. For more information visit our website.
Essential Needs Program:
Fundraising Update
We are less than $15,000 away from our goal with over a month to go! Between the Round-up for Charity Program at The Goose Grocer, Goosefoot and GiveBig WA with WCF – together we raised an additional $18,671 in May for the Essential Needs Program, bringing our total to $85,110!

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far – every donation goes directly to Whidbey households in need. Learn more about our collaborative fundraiser and help us reach our $100,000 goal by July 15 by clicking the link below.

New Opportunities
Become A Mobile Vaccination Clinic
Island County Public Health is looking for locations to provide COVID vaccinations! They want to make getting a COVID vaccine as easy as possible.

The Mobile Vaccination Team can come to your organization or facility to give vaccines. No cost to you. Pop-up events can be established at most locations for a walk-up style clinic, no appointment necessary.

Anti-Racism Training & Consultation to Whidbey Nonprofits 

Whidbey Community Foundation has made these workshops available for FREE to Whidbey Island organizations, with support from Washington Nonprofits and the Office of the Secretary of State.

The journey towards racial equity and being an anti-racist community requires that each of us, individually and collectively, do our parts. Nonprofits on Whidbey Island are at varying levels of readiness for anti-racism work. Some have attended trainings, while others have yet to begin. Whidbey Community Foundation has partnered with Kenesha Lewin and Diana Sandoval to offer workshops that meet varying levels of need for organizations that are interested and committed to this work.

As nonprofits navigate a more virtual world, websites are increasingly critical to advance nonprofits’ missions, raise funds, and communicate impact.
