Women Lead YYC Applications Now Open

Women Lead YYC  will meet
six times on Tuesday evenings
September 22 - October 27, 2020. Sessions will run from 5:30 - 8:00 P.M., and will cover topics like community organizing, strategic communications, movement building, connecting with allies, and addressing systemic barriers and root causes of community problems.

We're assembling a group of 12 motivated women who are interested in building a network, and working for change at a local level. Sessions will take place in person at the Women's Centre while following AHS guidelines; however, the program could move online if provincial health circumstances change. This program is open to anyone who identifies as a woman.

Application deadline is August 11. For more details, contact Monique.

Open By Appointment For Services

Reminder: the Women's Centre is now open by appointment. In-person services include: taxes, personal care items, food hampers and computer access. We are also providing coffee and pastries to women who visit for an appointment.

In order to offer some in-person services, we rearranged our space and placed dividers to ensure physical distancing measures. We have also implemented phone and door screening processes.

Staff and volunteers continue to offer some supports by phone (food bank referrals and peer support, as well as legal advice and taxes). For a full list of available services, visit our website.
