Step 2 of BC's Restart Plan Effective Tues, June 15
Today, Dr. Bonnie Henry announced that British Columbia will enter Step 2 of the 4 Step plan to restarting BC as of tomorrow, Tuesday, June 15. Step 2 details can be found by clicking here. Please note that the revised Public Health Order has not yet been posted to the Government’s website and we anticipate it will be posted after the start of Step 2 and will be accessible through this link. Organized seated gathering protocols are expected to be similar as to those followed in Summer 2020.
Highlight of Changes
• Indoor seated organized gatherings now permitted for up to 50 people with a COVID-19 Safety Plan.

• Outdoor seated organized gatherings now permitted for up to 50 people with a COVID-19 Safety Plan.

• Recreational travel within British Columbia allowed, non-essential travel outside of the province is still discouraged.

• Indoor and outdoor dining is still limited to groups of up to 6 people during this stage.

• Liquor service is permitted until midnight.

• Small, in-person meetings are permitted.

• Outdoor spectators for sport activities permitted for up to 50 people, no spectators at any indoor sport activities.
The earliest start date for Step 3 is set as July 1st however this depends on vaccination levels (70% of adults single dose), declining case counts, and hospitalizations.

We have also been in communication with the health authority and received this feedback on how to manage touch points on the golf course:

• All outdoor items can now be returned to the golf course as of tomorrow, this includes but not limited to: sand and seed stations, ball washers, rakes, and golfers can remove the flag when putting on the green. The suggestion was that hand sanitizer is supplied but you may wish to suggest golfers also keep this on hand.

• Shared items such as: range buckets, power carts and golf clubs should still be cleaned and sanitized between use. Staff can safely remove garbage and items off carts between use.
Your Association continues to monitor Government announcements, seek clarification, and provide updates. Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.
