This week was unfortunately marked by the passing of business leader and patriot Herman Cain. Cain grew up "poor but happy" (as he would say) in Atlanta, Georgia. He earned degrees in mathematics and computer science before starting his career in the Navy. When Herman Cain next entered a career in the private sector, his rise was meteoric.
He went from analyst to president and CEO during an amazing career in the food and hospitality industry. Cain then went on to become an effective advocate for private enterprise and small business. He might be best remembered as an articulate voice in conservative media and for his 2011/2012 run for President, where he presented his ambitious plan to restructure the tax code.
Herman Cain leaves behind a legacy of conservative advocacy and a life that represents the best of American opportunity. He was a living example of the American dream and spread an inspirational message that touched millions.
Join me in extending heartfelt condolences to the Cain family.

This week I had the honor of joining the President in Midland, Texas as he discussed the importance of domestic energy and announced major new initiatives.

Before the invisible enemy struck our shores, we created 800,000 new energy jobs — a third of them in Texas. That was just the new jobs; add on to that millions of other jobs. After the China virus struck, we implemented historic economic relief. When oil crashed, I got Saudi Arabia, Russia, and others to cut nearly 10 million barrels a day, and got OPEC Plus and Mexico to agree to the deal.

Today, I’m taking another bold action to support energy jobs in Texas. In a few moments, I will sign four critical permits, granting approval to vital pipeline and railway infrastructure on our nation’s border. That’s a big deal. This will include two permits allowing the export of Texas crude to Mexico — a giant victory for the workers of this state that you’ve been after for many years.

The proud people of Texas will never bow, kneel, or surrender to the left-wing mob. You will always stand tall and strong for America. Everyone here today carries the legacy of some of the toughest, fiercest, and most determined people ever to walk the face of the Earth — your ancestors. You know that.
Generations of Texas oil workers before you gave every last bit of sweat and heart and grit that they had to build up this country. They loved our country. They loved our country so much, they couldn’t breathe. Their pride and devotion helped raise up America’s cities, power our factories, propel our industries, sustain our families, supply our military, and fuel America’s rise into the strongest, wealthiest, and greatest nation the world has ever known.

Now it’s your turn to help lead our nation to even greater heights. Today, we give thanks for each and every one of you, and we are telling the Washington politicians trying to abolish American energy: Don’t mess with Texas.

There is no denying Joe Biden has embraced the policies of the radical left-wing mob.
Joe Biden is a trojan horse for the policies of AOC and the radical left-wing. Biden has vowed the “
first thing
” he would do would be to repeal the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act which would raise taxes for families, small businesses, and middle-class Americans. His $4 trillion tax hike would devastate the economy and crush American jobs. An astonishing 82% of families would see their taxes go up under the Biden tax plan.
In a Biden Administration, the energy sector would be destroyed, and our country would be less safe. Biden’s “clean energy” plan would eliminate all fossil fuels and destroy 10 million fracking, oil, and coal jobs in the U.S. Biden supports AOC’s radical Green New Deal. The unrealistic plan would cost $93 trillion, has been condemned by unions as a job killer, and would put a $600,000 tax burden on every household. Under a Biden Administration, oil, gas, and coal industries would be eliminated from the United States power grid by 2035. Biden would reenter the United States in the disastrous Paris Climate Agreement which would cost an estimated 400,000 jobs. President Trump has unleashed America’s energy independence including ushering in the shale revolution, saving Americans over $200 billion annually through lower energy prices.

President Trump Is Leading A Bold Coronavirus Response
President Trump is putting the health and safety of the American people first.
President Trump and members of the Coronavirus Task Force are directly addressing the American people and the media to provide important updates on our effort to stop COVID-19. Since the pandemic began, President Trump has led a bold response that has prioritized the health and safety of the American people. Much needed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), equipment, and other resources have been delivered to hot spots across the country. Working with the private sector, HHS and FEMA have combined for the delivery of more than 196 million N95 respirators, 815 million surgical masks, 20 million gloves, 34 million face shields, and 354 million gowns. The Administration is encouraging the use of masks and social distancing to stop the spread. While we are working together to slow the spread, President Trump has marshaled every resource to get a vaccine as soon as possible.
As part of Operation Warp Speed, there are several vaccine candidates entering the final stage of clinical trials by the end of the month, a record pace. Operation Warp Speed is directing a massive industrial mobilization to rapidly deliver the eventual safe vaccine. We continue to be the world leader in testing. Over 50 million tests have been conducted, more than 700,000 per day. Per capita, the U.S. is conducting 50% more tests than Europe. The FDA has authorized more than 185 tests under emergency authorities including molecular and antibody tests.
