Interview with Ashley Lunden
Move & Co Real Estate
AC: Tell us about your business.
AL: I have been in real estate for almost 5 years. I made a move to 4 degrees real estate last march right before covid hit while also helping to form a team within 4 degrees, Move & Co Real Estate. We have an amazing team of "lady bosses'' and have enjoyed being able to build our brand. As Cliché as it may sound I truly love what I do, each day looks a little different and I enjoy the variety. I am able to meet new people, build lasting relationships, while helping my clients achieve their real estate goals.
AC: Who is your target customer?
AL: I am licensed in Washington and Idaho which allows me to serve a variety of clients in various areas, from first-time home buyers to those looking to make their next move and find their forever home.
AC: What has been the greatest impact of covid-19 on your business?
AL: I have had to adapt and change the way I was used to doing business as many people have. Not having the constant in-person contact has been hard, but on a positive note I was able to focus on other areas of my business I always wanted to make more time for. Future business goals, marketing ideas and getting myself organized so I can continue to be the best for my clients.
AC: What are one or two actions you have taken to make a difference?
AL: I have been working on growing the ways I market my business for myself and my clients, growing my social media presence while also furthering my real estate education. Being an expert in my field and the best resource I can be for my clients is very important to me, and how I feel I can provide the most value.
AC: What is one mistake you have made along the way that other people can learn from?
AL: I think one of the biggest mistakes you can make is assuming you "have the business", rather it be family, friends or your close neighbor, you always need to be the professional. I think often people including myself may at times assume because you have some type of previous relationship with someone they will ultimately want to use you for services you provide, but that is not always the case. It is important to always show any potential client the resources and value you can provide to allow them to see you as the professional, not just as their family member or friend.
AC: What is inspiring to you today?
AL: I am a people person and enjoy helping others, I love having a job where I can do that every day. I would also say my family, my husband and 3-year-old son who have been extremely supportive, and are constant motivators to continue to succeed in my real estate career.
