BC Masterclass Series

Watch daily as members of the Lafayette String Quartet – Ann Elliott-Goldschmid, Sharon Stanis, Joanna Hood and Pamela Highbaugh Aloni – work with BC-based string students over Zoom. Throughout Week 1 of PRISMA (June 14-19) they will also be coaching a sextet of students in person at the University of Victoria. The cameras will be rolling for one of these sessions on Friday, June 18 where the full quartet together will coach the six students! Plus, you won't want to miss our "Making a Life as a Musician" program focusing on wellness and career advice – June 16 with Lafayette, and June 26 with members of the Cascadia Trio.
American Masterclass Series

Thanks to funding provided by the United States Government, you will be able to watch as some of the finest soloists and orchestral players in America spend an hour on Zoom with students from both sides of the border. Guest Artists for these 11 upcoming masterclasses (daily, June 21-25) include Anne Akiko Meyers (renowned soloist), Martin Chalifour (concertmaster, Los Angeles Philharmonic), David Halen (concertmaster, St. Louis Symphony), Jonathan Vinocour (principal viola, San Francisco Symphony), Katinka Kleijn (cellist, Chicago Symphony), John Lutterman (professor, University of Alaska – Anchorage), Carter Brey (principal cello, New York Philharmonic) and Timothy Cobb (principal bass, New York Philharmonic). A full schedule can be found on our website.
Pop-Up Performances

PRISMA in the News
Last month, our very own Arthur Arnold was a guest on CBC's Our Vancouver program, chatting with host Gloria Macarenko about serenading folks at Powell River’s vaccination clinic, our PRISMA for Kids program, and the upcoming festival. If you missed it live, click here for the video.

A few days later, he also appeared on two CBC Radio programs: On the Coast and All Points West.
