New Ambulance Arrives
All inspections were completed and the keys to King William's newest Fire & EMS apparatus were handed over on February 3rd. Once the ambulance has finished loose equipment installation, weighing, and licensing, it will be placed into service out of Station 1 to aid County citizens in their time of need.

“Hershey” is a handsome male Pit Bull Terrier mix that’s about 3-4 years old and weighs 75lbs. He came to the Shelter after he was found at someone’s home. He is a good boy that knows how to sit and loves ear scratches!
 “Gizmo” is a happy neutered male Lab mix that’s 8 months old and weighs 70lbs. He was surrendered to the Shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He’s a sweet boy that loves other pets and snuggles! “Gizmo” is up to date on his vaccines and on monthly heartworm prevention. He is also housebroken, and crate trained.

New Clerk of the Circuit Court

Tina Glazebrook was sworn-in as Interim Clerk of the Circuit Court by Judge Elliott Bondurant on Monday, January 31, 2022. 

King William County welcomes Ms. Glazebrook to her new position and thanks Ms. Patricia Norman for her many years of service.

A special election will be held on November 8, 2022 to elect a new Circuit Court Clerk.

If you live in a subdivision, see if they have an active Neighborhood Watch program. If not, consider starting one! Contact the Sheriff's Office for more information - 804-769-0999. For those who live in more open areas, devise ways to check on your neighbors, especially during inclement weather incidents. You can also educate yourself on ways to spot suspicious activity by visiting the Department of Homeland Security's See Something Say Something website. Local government and citizens working together can help keep King William County a safe and pleasant place to live!


  • King William County 7-day average number of daily new cases reported as of Feb. 4 - 14.

  • King William County residents have experienced 3,506 cases of COVID-19 since February, 2020 as of February 4, 2022. A total of 80 required hospitalization and 30 passed away. Reference

  • County Government continues to follow a mask policy when dealing with the public and non-vaccinated personnel.
