The past couple of months have brought on a lot of reflection. Since we went into lockdown a year ago in March, it has made us at Place des Arts think about all we've accomplished, overcome and created as a result of COVID-19. A year on in a pandemic
Last March, after the first day of our Spring Break Camp, we closed our building to the public due to worsening conditions of COVID-19. There was so much uncertainty as we embarked into completely unknown territory. As an organization whose core service is the delivery of in-person arts education programs, we had many questions to answer and decisions to make. What would we do? How would we do it? What about our self-employed teachers and artists? Our students? How long would this situation last?

Victoria Day Closure

Place des Arts will be closed Monday, May 24 for Victoria Day.

Classes will resume on Tuesday, May 25.
Join us as an Education Assistant for Summer Fun!
We are seeking an Education Assistant for our Summer Fun! camp who will assist Place des Arts staff and teachers in supporting camp participants with diverse learning challenges and special needs to have a safe and engaging experience in our in-person camp programs.

Since April, Imagine Van Gogh, an immersive touring art exhibition, has been on at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This event has been sold out for all of March and April so now is your chance to attend! It will be running until August 29, 2021, but sells out fast!

With Provincial Health Orders, please stay informed on COVID-19 updates and keep an eye on future events to ensure it is not cancelled.
