Teacher Tech Project: Teacher Leadership Summer Opportunity – Application Open Now!

CSTP recently received funding to develop the Teacher Tech Project , a quick-response opportunity to create and coordinate supports and resources that assist teachers in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence to instruct in a distance learning model. We have opened up an opportunity for teachers to apply to be part of the Project and create asynchronous modules focused on instructional design and strategies for distance learning for elementary, middle and high school teachers that consider the variety of student learners in our systems. We seek to fill three teams (elementary, middle and high) to develop the modules over the summer (mostly the month of July / early August). Teachers will be paid a $1,200 stipend upon completion. Interested teachers can apply now and the application will remain open until filled. Applications will be reviewed starting the week of June 22 with the goal to fill teams by June 30, 2020. Go to CSTP’s website to learn more about the Teacher Tech Project.

Collaboration in the Time of COVID
Effective collaboration starts with developing teacher leaders, relationships and structures to support adult learning in order to leverage expertise to impact instruction. This can be an even more challenging endeavor given current limitations on being able to bring groups together and the unknowns of the next school year.

CSTP wants teachers prepared for the future! We offer this online training that provides opportunities for participants to reflect on current collaborative structures and explore how to create and maintain a high functioning environment for professional learning and the delivery of instruction when shifting from in-person experiences to virtual settings. Building on CSTP’s Teacher Leadership Framework’s sections, Working with Adult Learners, Collaboration, and Communication participants will delve into this work to impact culture, risk-taking and student learning. Maximize this experience by attending with a team of teacher leaders and/or administrators. Come ready to share experiences, questions and dilemmas to practice developing a virtual learning community with each other.

Dates: July 23, 28, and 30
Times: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Cost: $90
Clock Hours Available: 10 ($15 clock hour fee not included in course registration)
