2022 Fall Alumni Mixer A Success!

On Thursday, October 13th, Western State alumni and friends gathered at Del Frisco's Bar and Grille in Irvine, CA, for the first alumni mixer in four years. Over 70 recent and longtime alumni networked and built new connections.

Dean Allen Easley welcomed the crowd and recognized esteemed guests. Later in the evening, the Hon. John Nho Trong Nguyen (Ret. - Class of 1988, Hall of Fame) shared words of wisdom and encouragement that resonated with all.

Western State would like to thank all who attended and for those who missed it, stay tuned for future opportunities to stay connected with your alumni friends and the Western State community.

Western State alumni are best positioned to identify potential prospective law school candidates who can meet the academic rigors and have the character necessary for success. Jim Randal (Class of 1980) grilled up hot dogs and provided other goodies for hungry WSCL students during Fall midterms. Jim has been hosting Hot Dog Day for WSCL students for over 15 years and has no plans to stop.

PAUL ARSHAGOUNI’S JOURNEY FROM MEDICINE TO LAW

Prior to going to law school, you had a career in medicine. What inspired you to pursue a law degree?

I had set my mind on being a doctor when I was in kindergarten and saw that goal through. I initially planned on family practice but moved to pediatrics. During residency, I noticed some policies didn’t make sense and that sparked my interest in health policy. I realized that attorneys have a huge role in healthcare law and regulation. If I wanted to make a larger impact, I needed to become a lawyer. I left my job in healthcare and went to law school. Read More
