From the Principal - Mrs. Amy Nelson
Dear Families,

I appreciate the time that many of you have taken to read over our reopening plan. If you haven't looked at our detailed plan, please click here. It is also located on our school website labeled "Returning to School 2020-2021." Whether you choose for your child(ren) to be on-site or virtual, the teachers and I look forward to seeing and interacting with the students. We know that families may have a lot of questions and we are working diligently to provide you answers. You will notice on our return to school plan, we have a Frequently Asked Questions page that we are updating when new questions arise, and we have also provided a "Submit Question" form on the website. I have attended some virtual meetings with the Sheboygan County Health Department and am anxiously awaiting their COVID response protocols. As soon as I get that information I will share that with you.

One change to inform you of is that our 3K classroom has moved to where the 5K classroom was last school year. Therefore, our 5K classroom has moved to the 1st through 5th grade wing of the school building. Now our 3K and 4K students will have their own self-contained rooms with bathrooms and will allow for more room to expand due to the capability to utilize the other two classrooms in that wing. Our Pre-K program serves both the education and childcare needs of students and their families. Should the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction or the local health department mandate that schools move to virtual learning, our Pre-K (3 and 4 year old) program can remain open for in-person learning. Families will have the option to keep their children on campus or transition to virtual instruction.

Several teachers have been in their classrooms already preparing for the start of the school year. As you know we are offering two "Sneak Peek" options. Please see the sign up below if your family is interested in attending our on-site "Sneak Peek."

Yours in Christ,

Amy Nelson
Online Registration Reminder
If you have not already registered your child(ren) online through Sycamore, please do so as soon as possible to help us prepare for the school year to start. Here are the instructions and if you need any assistance with this process, please contact Christine Vanic in the school office.

  • Log into your Sycamore account, go to "My School", then "Enrollment", then "Online Portal" School ID is 2231
  • On the Home page, you will see the Enrollment Roadmap on the right. Anything that is written in red are items you still need to update/complete before you can submit your application.
  • Baptismal certificate and immunization record are items you can upload but are not required. If you want to wait until fall to hand in your child(ren)'s updated immunization record to the school office that is fine or you can choose to upload it online. If we already have your child(ren)'s baptismal certificate you can skip this step.
  • Once you have completed all of the steps, your Enrollment Roadmap will have all checkmarks and a green button will show up that says "Click To Submit Application." Click this button and you will receive an email confirmation stating your application has been submitted successfully.
  • Your online registration is not complete until you click this button and receive an email confirmation.

Would you like to help SJB?

We would like to provide our students and staff lanyards to hold their face masks when they are not wearing them. If you would like to donate any lanyards, please contact the school office by Friday, August 21st. Thank you for your support.
