Virtual Board Coaching Series:
"The New Corporate Liability: Is this a Game Changer for Malaysia?"
The new section 17A of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 ("MACCA") came into force on 1 June 2020 and introduced for the first time in Malaysia corporate liability for corruption offences including new liability for directors with a minimum RM1,000,000 fine. How does this impact Malaysian companies going forward? What are the mindset changes required at board level to implement 'adequate measures' throughout the organization? What is expected from a director in promoting a culture of integrity and to have top-level commitment?

Chew Kherk Ying heads the Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property & Technology practice groups of Wong & Partners, with more than 30 years of practice in the area of civil litigation, intellectual property and corporate compliance. Women In Leadership (WIL) 2020
Our Women in Leadership 2020 is now still ongoing, virtually!

As the country slowly reopens and heads into the 'new normal', our WIL delegates have been continuing their self-aware leadership journey amidst the crisis. Recently, our women leaders had a peer-to-peer learning session where they themselves led discussions around mentorship, effective team management and resiliency in leadership. Additionally, we have also started our workshop series on discovering our career purpose with Jane Horan as well as our new module, Being Strong as a Leader with Subba Vaidyanathhan where our delegates learn how to incorporate mindfulness techniques into leadership.

Special thanks to our delegates, speakers, mentors and coaches for your continuous support as we venture into this new territory.

Surveys
ItsNotOk?! Survey
We need your help!

Did you know that 7 out of 10 people have experienced work place harassment in the form of offensive jokes or remarks? Workplace harassment takes different overt and covert forms – subtle harassment is harassment.

This is based on the LeadWomen’s It’sNotOK?! preliminary survey which hopes to better understand the pervasive workplace harassment experiences in corporate Malaysia.

We are looking for more responses and y our honest feedback would help us with more accurate statistics. All responses are anonymous.

There is also an option to run this as an in-house survey for individual organizations. Please contact training@lead-women.com if interested.
