Hello, parents!

We are so very excited about this year's performance of Winter Wonderland! Below is important information regarding dress rehearsal call times, attire, safety protocol, ticket pickup and photos so please read this information carefully.

For dancers in both Winter Wonderland and The Nutcracker productions:
There is only a small window between performances for a quick break. That means there is not enough time to leave and come back. If your dancers are in both Winter Wonderland and The Nutcracker, you only need to check in once so your dancer must remain at the venue for the remainder of the day. You are allowed to bring in food for your child/family in between shows, as well as games and activities to keep them occupied, but your dancer cannot leave. We will not hold the performance for tardy dancers.
Dress Rehearsal Call Times
Please see below for your dancer's call time based on class. If you are unsure of which class your dancer is participating, please reach out to the front desk for clarification. For dancers with more than one piece, you only need to be concerned with the first call time listed.
12/13 Dress Rehearsal and Show at Barr Mansion
Please ensure your dancer arrives with hair and make-up done and in full costume. There is minimal space backstage so we ask that your dancer only brings the absolute essentials backstage (please limit big bags).

Upon arrival, dancers will be directed to the dressing room where they will stay until a staff member (runner) comes to direct them on where to go (photo op or to the stage). This will be a closed rehearsal. Once your dancer has been checked into the dressing area, you are free to leave and come back when doors open for the show at 2PM.

Please keep in mind that a dress rehearsal doesn’t run the same way that a performance does. The purpose of the rehearsal is not only to allow the dancers to practice and acclimate themselves to the performance stage, but to also work out any kinks we may run into with sound and lights.

The stage we are performing on this year is in a covered (but open air) facility; dancers will be inside the dressing room for the majority of the evening, but we ask that our dancers are prepared for cooler temperatures backstage, as well as to and from the stage, so:

  • Bring a coat to wear during the dress rehearsal.
  • Wear layers under your costume, such as a nude color leotard and tan tights. Please ensure the layers cannot be seen under your costume.
  • Leg warmers may also be worn during dress rehearsal (please no sweat pants on stage).
  • Socks to cover pointe shoes/tap shoes

Health and Safety
Our staff will be monitoring students throughout the day, and we ask that you speak with your dancer regarding safe practices for the day.
  • In accordance with the Governor’s orders, as well as Barr Mansion requirements, we are asking all audience members to wear a mask throughout the day/evening’s events.
  • Upon arrival, there will be ushers to help direct you where to sit and how to exit.
  • All dancers 10yr+ must wear a mask while backstage in the dressing rooms.
  • When ready to go on stage, dancers are welcome to remove their mask, in the outside area, if their dance is appropriately spaced. If dancers would like to wear a mask on stage, we will provide a plain white mask on the day. Please ensure that your dancer has a brown paper bag or zip lock bag, labelled with their name, to place their mask in.
  • Upon check-in, students will have their temperature taken and be asked to sanitize their hands.
  • When eating, students must eat in the designated area. Either in the Grand Hall or outside of the Grand Hall where the hot chocolate is situated.
