Family COVID Update
7.3.2020
Dear Residents & Families,

We appreciate your ongoing support while we strive to keep your loved ones and our staff as safe as possible. We want to be mindful of inundating Inboxes. Beginning next week, we’re planning to provide these updates on Tuesdays and Fridays, or as developments warrant.

COVID-19 TESTING
As of today, we have no positive cases of COVID-19 in our Bainbridge Senior Living communities. We are actively monitoring for symptoms or circumstances which match those related to COVID-19. Move-ins are being welcomed with safety protocols in place, including quarantine.

In May, our state Secretary of Health ordered that assisted living facilities with memory care units administer COVID-19 tests to staff and consenting residents. Madrona House conducted testing over the last two weeks. All staff – which included outside therapists and some shared administration members – and all consenting residents tested negative.

COMMUNITY UPDATE
Kitsap County will remain in Phase 2 for COVID-19 recovery until at least July 16 th after Gov. Jay Inslee paused all Safe Start plan  applications.

We here at Bainbridge Senior Living join Kitsap Public Health officials in urging folks to exercise caution over the Fourth of July weekend. Eleven new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Kitsap County on Tuesday, June 30th, bringing the county’s total for June to 71. Only 11 cases total were reported in Kitsap in the month of May.

Over the holiday weekend, please:

·        Limit gatherings to no more than five people outside of your immediate household. Smaller is safer
·        Keep travel local . Staying home is the safest option
·        Stay six feet apart from others. Outdoor gatherings are safer than indoor gatherings
·        Wear a face covering in situations where staying six feet apart is difficult or if indoors with people from outside your immediate household. DIY mask instructions are available here .
·        Stay home if you feel sick even if your illness is mild. Attending a gathering will put other people’s health at risk. Call your health provider immediately to get tested

Thank you! And Happy Independence Day.

With Gratitude,
Morgan Rohrbach
President and CEO
