Redner’s Warehouse Market is an important business anchor in Shenandoah with a strong
commitment to the local community. This family and employee-owned business has grown and
expanded throughout the years, but the foundation that Redner’s was built on remains the
same, “to create rewarding experiences by being a great place to shop and work.” Even though
the company now has multiple locations, they treat each one like a small business.
This culture trickles down from the Redner’s family and into the communities they serve. Eric White, Director of Marketing & Communications for Redner’s has worked for the organization since 1999. He explained that Redner’s is employee-owned, giving everyone who
works there a stake in the company’s success. “This allows everyone in every position to take
pride in our work and value the team effort. We need to make sure we are looking our best
every day. Ownership gives everyone a sense of pride,” he said.
Eric added that Redner’s philosophy is to do things the right way, which makes his more than 20
plus year career very enjoyable. Just like Eric, many of his colleagues have worked for Redner’s
for many years. “When you work for a company that truly values its employees and considers
each one like family, you stick around for good reason,” he explained.
Redner’s commitment to its employees carries over into the communities it serves, including
Shenandoah. They are very generous and continually support nonprofit organizations, churches,
schools, firehouses, and other groups in a variety of ways. “Downtown Shenandoah, Inc. (DSI)
can always depend on Redner’s to sponsor fundraising events and support our mission to
revitalize our community,” said Susan Williams, DSI’s Executive Director. “They are a pleasure to
work with and it is inspiring to know they have our community members’ best interests at
heart. Thank you, Redner’s for all you do.”
Susan also shared that Redner’s generously donated to The Center for Education, Business and
the Arts (CEBA)’s capital campaign reinforcing their commitment to Shenandoah’s future. They
understand that projects like CEBA will create positive change for our area. “When our small
communities are vibrant and successful, everyone benefits," said Eric. “Shenandoah is a tight-knit
community and we want to see the downtown and surrounding communities in Schuylkill
County thrive. We will continue to support this county to keep the economy moving in the right
direction. It will only spell success for everyone,” he added.
