Business Update for those Facing the Impact of COVID-19

As South Florida continues to experience rising numbers of COVID-19 cases, the City of Miami Beach has extended  its   State of Emergency  and updated its  Emergency Measures  t o include the following amendments effective, July 2 at 12:01 a.m.:
Additionally, Miami-Dade County Order 25-20, requires that hotels must close their pools between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. starting Friday, July 3 through Monday, July 6, 2020 . Click here  to read the County’s full order.

The City of Miami Beach has also created a Hospitality Education and Enforcement Team (HEET) comprised of personnel members from Police, Fire Prevention, Code Compliance and Ocean Rescue. This multidisciplinary team is dedicated to ensuring hospitality and restaurant establishments are abiding by all emergency measures in order to maintain a safe experience for residents and visitors. Relief Program
Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez announced the implementation of Miami-Dade County's initial fiscal response to the impacts on small businesses brought on by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. For more information, click here.
Staying Healthy
Personal responsibility is of the utmost importance.
The city urges everyone to do their part in stopping the spread of this deadly virus, including:
  • Washing your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol
  • Social distancing of 6 feet apart with members outside of your household
  • Wearing a face covering
  • Avoiding touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
  • Covering your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash
  • Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe
  • Taking personal responsibility. If you are sick with a fever, cough or viral symptoms, please stay away from others, including the work environment and crowded area
