Calgary Chamber of Voluntary Organizations (CCVO) 

This year's survey focuses on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the  nonprofit  and charitable sector in Alberta. Your contribution is essential  in   provi din g  credible data to the evidence-based research for policy advocacy for the communities you serve. The data will help inform CCVO's public policy work to support the sector, which will include an overall picture of the current economic conditions facing  nonprofits  and the push for the ongoing provision of critical services throughout Alberta.  The deadline to  provide  input is the end of May.

We don't talk about the positives of aging nearly enough! To celebrate Seniors' Week 2020  from  June 1 until 7, Age Friendly Edmonton is starting a conversation  highlighting  what Edmontonians enjoy about growing older.  Share  your s tory at GrowOlderWithMe.net Together, let's start the conversation about what healthy aging looks like and disrupt ageism.  As a thanks for participating, the first 100 participants are eligible to receive a $5 Tim's card.  Stories will be accepted up to and including Seniors' Week and after until July 12.  For more information about the project, email   [email protected].

The centre has also launched a new Community  Cafe  outreach program to sell frozen soups and meals with a rotating menu that chan ges every two weeks . Thanks to our friends from Westend Seni ors Activity Centre for  sharing th is opportunity. "Ask th e  Genealog ist " is an online club  being offered   during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The Genealogy Club normally meets at SAPL every  month but has moved online to support genealogists and genealogy enthusiasts during this time of isolation.
