Principal's Message

Good Afternoon EAMS Students and Families:

As we wind down the year, I wanted to share updates on some of our traditional end-of-year items:
  • Next Friday would have been our last PBIS Assembly of the year. First, our assemblies have been rocking this year--a big shout out to Ms. Rima and crew for their work on these events. Don’t worry students--Ms. Rima has something up her sleeve to provide one last “assembly.”
  • Mini-Course Day is an awesome event that is held the last week of the year, and we have plans to make it even better next year!
  • Signing of friends yearbooks is a time-honored tradition at the end of every school year. First, we will make time at the beginning of next year for students to be able to do this; it’s not the same, but it’s still important. Second, we have received some disappointing news--due to a plant closure related to COVID-19, our yearbooks will not arrive until mid-June. I am sorry to report that, and I want to be clear that Mrs. Kawcynski put together another excellent year book and submitted it for printing prior to the deadline for guaranteed delivery. This is unfortunate, and as soon as we receive the delivery date, we will share a plan for distribution.
  • Finally, and specific to 8th-Grade families, the order form for the 8th-Grade shirts will go out to students as soon our payment option is set up in Skyward. As well, our wonderful PTO is working on a date, and backup dates, for the Moving On dance over the summer. Stay tuned!

As we look ahead a few weeks, there is no virtual learning on Memorial Day. Instead, we will follow this schedule:
  • Monday, May 25th: Memorial Day - No food service
  • Tuesday, May 26th: Monday schedule
  • Wednesday, May 27th: Tuesday schedule
  • Thursday, May 28th & Friday, May 29th: Normal schedule
The last week of school will follow the normal, virtual learning schedule.

Have a great weekend!
