19th Annual Forecast Dinner

Save the date for our 19th Annual Forecast Dinner! Hear from industry experts from the fields of fixed-income investments, equity investments, and economics as they discuss the current economic environment and how they see markets progressing for the upcoming year.

Ethics Challenge

All Society Members are invited to attend our 2022 Ethics Challenge on November 17, 2022. This year's challenge will include teams from four individual schools from around Mississippi and our Louisiana Chapter.

Charterholder Ceremony

A Success

On September 22, 2022, CFA Society Mississippi gathered at the AC Hotel by Marriot in Ridgeland, MS, to recognize and celebrate our newest CFA charterholders. These individuals include: Austin Mills, CFA, Ming Ju, CFA, Jack Heidelberg, CFA (all pictured above), Joshua Norris, CPA, CFP, CFA, and Daniel Drummond, CPA, CFA.

Congratulations, once again, on achieving the highest distinction in the investment management profession and proving yourself by dedicating hours of intense study to pass one of the most rigorous series of exams in the financial industry.

This Wednesday, October 19, is Global Ethics Day! Take time this week to explore and celebrate the essential role of ethics in the investment industry alongside CFA Society Mississippi, CFA Institute, Carnegie Council, and organizations around the world.

Global Ethics Day is an annual moment to empower ethics through the actions of individuals and organizations. It is an opportunity for educational institutions, professional organizations, and business associations around the globe to explore the role of ethics in a globalized world.

Jonathan Waide, of Clinton, MS, is a portfolio manager at Private Wealth Group at Regions. Prior to this role, he spent the last decade in the financial advisory industry primarily responsible for the management of clients' assets through trading, advisement, and portfolio management. Jonathan has a passion for serving his clients and promoting integrity through his work.

2022 Ethics Challenge

Designed to help prepare those entering the investment profession for the ethical challenges they will face in the workplace, the Ethics Challenge is an annual event for university and college student teams throughout Mississippi and our Louisiana Chapter to learn how to apply ethical principles to real-world scenarios.

Participants are given an ethics case to analyze and make recommendations during a 10-minute presentation. Our students put immense time and effort into their presentations. Ensuring they are welcomed by a full audience of investment professionals is a great way to support our Society and the future of our industry.
