The Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Taking the Gospel to Prayer

This link (https://www.ewtn.com/catholicism/library/eucharist-and-mans-hunger-for-freedom-3085) will take you to a copy of the text of Cardinal Karol Wojtyla (Pope St. John Paul II), Archbishop of Krakow, during the International Eucharistic Congress in Philadelphia, on 3 August 1976 in which he says that "The Eucharist is the food which satisfies man's deepest hunger." His text is much better than what I can offer here!

Let us pray this day to have a deep desire for the Holy Eucharist. Let us be grateful for this amazing gift and take advantage of every opportunity that we can to receive the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of our Lord!

I look forward to seeing you back at Holy Spirit where together at the consecration we can prayer "My Lord and My God."

Lord Jesus, help me to grow closer to You today.
