A Message from the Director
Gayle Holloman
This is an exciting week for the Fulton County Library System. I am pleased to announce the arrival of 8 new digital resources to help our patrons stay connected, while staying home.

We continue to navigate the challenges of COVID-19 and this recent uptick in Georgia. Our plan is to meet those challenges with solutions to help you feel you have the support and resources to continue entertaining yourself at home, teaching your children at home when most metro-area children return to 100% virtual learning in August and most importantly, keep you experiencing the best services available through your public library.

With our Summer Reading Program winding soon, we will soon begin the focus of helping parents and students, as they prepare for "back to school." Some of our new resources include PebbleGo and the "coming soon" Paper.co, an online tutoring service where students receive instant live online help from educators following socratic teaching principles. Written work is reviewed and annotated by an educator to give students rapid writing feedback. Other resources like Creative Bug offers online video arts and crafts workshops and techniques. Patrons can learn how to paint, knit, crochet, sew, screen print, and more. Kanopy, described as Netflix for libraries, Lynda.com and Infobase, another learning tool are among the new rollout. There are so many great new resources, read more about those mentioned here and more below. Tell us what you think! We'd love to hear from you on social media about how you like the new services. Share your photos with us using the new services on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and tag @fulcolibrary.

While these continue to be interesting times, we have appreciated the opportunity to find new and inventive ways to offer services to all of you. As always, we appreciate your input and feedback about our virtual programs, curbside services and Ask a Librarian. Please continue to stay tuned for updates on our services; and for new and exciting happenings at the Fulton County Library System.
