New England and New York counties with 400 or fewer active COVID-19 cases
per million are welcome to visit with no need to quarantine.

Plan to stay a while to enjoy all there is to offer. Midweek stays are highly recommended and usually mean lower lodging rates. Bring the bike and see for yourself why
Kingdom Trails

Hidden Gems
It's always worth it to take the road less traveled and in these parts, there are many special spots off the beaten path.
Have you ever tried backyard golf? It's the perfect family activity! There are 2 courses in the area,
Grandad's Course
in Newark and
Lake Willoughby Golf
in Westmore. Both have 9 holes and a casual atmosphere for any skill level (or no skill level). Just pop your money in the bucket and have fun!
Of course, you know about our glacial lakes, but explore waters less paddled like peaceful
Long Pond
,
Bald Hill Pond
and
Newark Pond
. Enjoy a leisurely paddle, fishing or a swim along with the loons who call these waters home.
Venture over to the
Nulhegan Basin Division of the
Silvio O. Conte Fish and Wildlife Refuge
and explore among the thousands of acres of forested trails including a bog-walk. Admission to the visitor station is free and you can check out many exhibits and scenic overlooks.
After a day of exploring, head back to Burke for dinner at the
Foggy Goggle Osteria
, tucked away on a little dirt road in the village. Whether you're in the mood for steak, seafood, pad Thai, a burger or sourdough pizza, there's something on the menu for everyone in the family.
