Featured Annual
Rose Moss
This full-sun annual features bright miniature flowers in an array of colors that blooms all season. Plant Rose Moss 12" apart, as it will spread and reach a height of 4-6" tall.
Featured Shrub
This Crapemyrtle features dark red blooms offset by intense black leaves. It blooms from summer through fall and acts as an  e xcellent accent shrub in your landscape.  Grows 10 to 12 feet tall and 8 feet wide.
Featured Tree
Marcum's Nursery considers this broad spreading, medium-sized tree as an excellent choice to plant near sidewalks and driveways. Its small leaflets provide brilliant fall colors of yellow, orange, and red. Female Chinese Pistache trees will produce berries after fully established.

June Maintenance Guidelines
  • Look carefully for bagworms!  Apply Hi-Yield 55% Malathion or Hi-Yield 38 Plus as treatment.
  • See Marcum's watering guidelines for new and established trees and shrubs.
  • Pine needle disease treatments are needed again in mid-June. Apply fertilome Copper Fungicide as treatment.
  • Seeding of warm-season grasses should be completed by the end of June.
  • Mulch your flower beds to  reduce weed germination and water loss. This helps dramatically cut down summer bed maintenance
  • To prevent white grubs, apply  Hi-Yield Grub Free Zone  in late June to mid-July.
Chump's Chatter

How can I green up my yard this summer?

Apply a high quality fertilizer! We suggest using Marcum's 28-6-12 or Marcum's Nitro Green 31-0-0. Applying a high nitrogen fertilizer will give your grass the nutrition it needs to stay green all season. What truly sets our fertilizers apart is the addition of sulfur and iron. Sulfur is ideal to loosen up hard, Oklahoma clay soil and iron adds extra green to your grass!
