Are you interested in improving the health literacy of children and young adults while building your CV? Yes? Help us create a video showing school-aged kids creative ways to say ‘hi’ when handshakes, hugs, and high-fives are not recommended.
Maybe you like the elbow bump, or a toe tap, or a coronavirus curtsey. Have you developed a long-distance air-shake or a dance that you do when entering a room? Whether you’re in the hospital wearing scrubs or a white coat,
on campus, or at the store, take a video of your favorite greeting for us to share.
Our goal is to encourage kids to create fun ways to say hi to their friends so they can safely return to school in the fall.
Helping is easy. Consult our filming tips, grab a friend, and have fun!
Where should I film?
Find a location with good lighting—the more light, the better.
What type of device should I use?
The ideal device is a smart phone. Set camera settings to 1080p at 30fps. Be sure to hold it horizontally (landscape mode).
How long should I film?
Your video should be short and sweet — no more than 30 seconds. Don't worry about narrating. We just want to see creative greetings in a variety of settings.
Where do I send the completed video?
Send the original video file to John Knight. (Do not compress.) If the file is too large to send via email, use file sharing such as iCloud, Drop Box, Google Drive, etc.
