A Reminder from Marin County Public Health to Wear a
Face Covering in Public
Under the authority of the California Emergency Services Act, Governor Newsom issued a mandate that everyone must wear a mask when in public settings.
Face coverings are required for everyone over 2 years old when:
- at indoor AND outdoor businesses - whether as an employee or a customer
- waiting in line to enter a store
- waiting for and using public transit
- when in a taxi or ride share
- when seeking healthcare; or visiting a hospital, medical clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, dental office, veterinary clinic or blood bank
- walking outside and within 6 feet of others
Face coverings should cover your nose and mouth, and can be improvised for bandanas, t-shirts or other cloth around your home.

Marin County Adjusts Reopening Line-up
On June 26, Marin Public Health announced that a spike in coronavirus cases has led to delaying the reopening of certain businesses previously scheduled to reopen on June 29.
Reopening of hotels, motels and short-term rentals; gyms and fitness studios; and other personal services has been paused until further notice from the County.

Marin County COVID-19 Hotline Closed on Friday, July 3
The Marin County Health and Human Services (HHS) COVID-19 Hotline will be closed on Friday, July 3, and will reopen on Monday, July 6.
If you would like to speak directly with staff at the HHS COVID-19 Information Line, please call 415.473.7191 on Monday-Friday, 9:30am-12pm and 1pm-5pm.
For urgent medical matters, please contact you health provider.

Your Actions Save Lives: Celebrate 4th of July Holiday Responsibly
As we approach the 4th of July holiday, the Novato Police Department encourages the public to be responsible and safe over Independence Day weekend by not driving impaired.
On July 3, 2020 between 6pm and 2am, the Novato Police Department will hold a DUI Checkpoint at an undisclosed location within Novato.

Virtual Options Expanded for Marin Mental Health Services
To ensure continuity of care during the COVID-19 pandemic, the County of Marin has expanded web and phone services to all Marin County Department of Health and Human Services Behavioral Health and Recovery Services Division programs.

Marin Transit and TAM partner with Uber to launch integrated on-demand Connect2Transit Program
People in Marin County now have access to a range of new on-demand transportation services. TAM, Marin Transit and Uber have launched a new program, Connect2Transit, the next phase of TAM's first/last mile program and the expansion of Marin Transit Connect, Marin Transit's fully accessible, on-demand service.
Uber app users will see shared-ride transit options and will have access to vouchers for up to $5 off shared-ride trips to and from Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) stations in Marin County, major bus stops, and the Larkspur Ferry Terminal. TAM will also be partnering with local employers and the business community to provide additional mobility options for employee commute programs.

Stay Healthy Novato
The best way to reduce the risk of becoming infected with a respiratory virus, whether the flu or coronavirus, is to practice good hygiene:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or crook of your elbow (not your hands). If you use a tissue, throw it away and wash your hands afterward.
- Avoid touching your face.
- Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
