A Reminder from Marin County Public Health to Wear a
Face Covering in Public

Under the authority of the California Emergency Services Act, Governor Newsom issued a mandate that everyone must wear a mask when in public settings.

Face coverings are required for everyone over 2 years old when:
  • at indoor AND outdoor businesses - whether as an employee or a customer
  • waiting in line to enter a store
  • waiting for and using public transit
  • when in a taxi or ride share
  • when seeking healthcare; or visiting a hospital, medical clinic, pharmacy, laboratory, dental office, veterinary clinic or blood bank
  • walking outside and within 6 feet of others
Face coverings should cover your nose and mouth, and can be improvised for bandanas, t-shirts or other cloth around your home.

Census 2020

It's a stressful time, we need to assure that our federal government is funding the programs we need the most.

One way to assure that is to fill out the 2020 Census.

Stay Healthy Novato
The best way to reduce the risk of becoming infected with a respiratory virus, whether the flu or coronavirus, is to practice good hygiene:
  • Wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or crook of your elbow (not your hands). If you use a tissue, throw it away and wash your hands afterward.
  • Avoid touching your face.
  • Stay home when you are sick, except to get medical care.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
