Congratulations

Congratulations to Mrs. Rebecca DeLallo, mother of Shannon DeLallo of grade five and ASCS grads, Megan and Alex! Mrs.DeLallo received the St. Augustine Medal of Service from Bishop Caggiano on Saturday for her volunteer service to our school for many years. Thank you, Becky, and God bless!

The Miracle of Fatima

October 13 is the 105th anniversary of the Miracle of Fatima. The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherd children in 1917 in Fatima, Portugal, on the 13th day of the month from May to October. She told them to say the rosary and pray for peace. The final apparition on October 13th concluded with the “Miracle of the Sun” and was witnessed by over 70,000 people.

Read the entire story here or watch the YouTube video, “The Day the Sun Danced” as a family this week .

Calendar Change

There is a very important calendar change.

October 21 will now be an early dismissal for teacher in-service for the school accreditation.

January 30 will be a full day of school. Please mark your calendars now!

Halloween at ASCS

“Halloween is a day to pretend to be somebody else, but you must never forget that you are first and foremost a child of God….”

Get ready for the celebration! All students in grades PK- 5 may wear their Halloween costumes to school on Monday, October 31. Middle School students may choose to either wear a costume or have a " Black and Orange" Dress Down Day. Younger students who do not wear costumes may do the same. Be sure that your child’s costume is comfortable for them to wear.

Costumes need to be appropriate for a Catholic School. Please: NO props, NO masks, and NO weapons.

The teachers ( grades PK - 5) will give their own small celebrations in their homerooms. The middle school party is in the dining hall. Please do not send in any treats to school unless you are specifically directed to do so by the teacher or room mothers. Please be respectful of this request.

We will have a Halloween Parade around the track this year weather permitting. Parents are invited! Time: TBA later.

October 31 is an early dismissal day. There is no Extended Day program and no other after school activities.

Middle School Harvest Dance

The Middle School Harvest Dance will be held on October 28 from 7:00 PM- 9:00 PM in the school dining hall. Proper Attire is required. Please No T-Shirts Shorts. (NO COSTUMES). Administration, Faculty, Parent Chaperones and security will be in attendance. (This is a drop off event)

Tickets are on sale for $10 now. Click here for tickets and to sign permission slip.

Community Service Hours

Any students in grades 7 and/or 8 who need volunteer service hours and do not have a plan are encouraged to see the guidance counselor, Mrs. Corrente, for help.

Important Update

In response to the many emails we have been receiving concerning cases of fentanyl-laced candies in the news, the teachers will no longer be using candy for prizes or treats. Please do not send any candy in with your child. Thank you!

Uniform Reminders

This is the last week for the Optional School Uniform (navy blue walking shorts). Most students have already transitional to the full dress uniform.

All Saints Catholic School has a dress code. Please check the School Handbook to be sure your child is in full uniform. Please pay special attention to the hair, make up, and jewelry sections. The uniform company has been in touch with the school and they have said that they are doing their best to get your orders to you as soon as possible. I realize it has been an inconvenience to many of you. Please let us know how we can help.

Enjoy these beautiful fall days! Be well, stay safe, and God bless!
