What is the Cowboy Way?

The Cowboy Way provides students with academic tutorials, mentoring, behavior support, and SEL interventions. Our acknowledgment system includes administration, teachers, and staff who give out Cowboy cards to deserving students exemplifying #SHS, following the Cowboy Way team holds weekly raffles and selects students of the week. These positive rewards encourage students to practice and internalize the behaviors we teach.

Monterey County Behavioral Health is offering free sessions on Increasing Family Acceptance Among Religious Caregivers Caring for LGBTQ Youth. Click on the link below to view more information about the event.

The Safe Routes to School group has developed draft recommendations to improve safety for students and families traveling to school. Please click on the map to review each of the draft recommendations for your student's school. After you review the map, please click on the following link to take a short survey. Your responses will be used to identify anything that is missing from the current recommendations. Thank you for your participation.

Counselors' Corner

Attention parents: counselors’ will continue pre registration with students to select classes for the next school year. Talk to your student about any specific classes they are interested in taking. Click here for more information on the courses that SHS is offering.

Seniors' Corner

Spring intersession starts February 12, 2022! If your student failed a course or is behind on credits make an appointment with their counselor to request an intersession form.

It's scholarship season!

Parents, please remind your senior to stop by room 624 for scholarship opportunities. If your student will be attending Hartnell, there is a single, easy application that applies to several different scholarships.

Also, the California Strawberry scholarship is due February 15, 2022. Please note, several scholarship due dates are approaching!

Las clases de remediación de primavera comienza el 12 de febrero de 2022

Si su estudiante reprobó un curso o está atrasado en los créditos, haga una cita con su consejero para llenar la solicitud.

¡Es temporada de becas!

Padres, recuérdele a su estudiante del 12vo grado que pase por el salón 624 para ver las oportunidades de becas. Si su estudiante asistirá a Hartnell, existe una solicitud única y sencilla que se aplica a varias becas diferentes.

Además, la beca de Las Fresas de California vence el 15 de febrero. ¡Tenga en cuenta que se acercan varias fechas de vencimiento de becas!
