Letter from the Principal
Things are in full swing at Trivium thanks to some wonderful events happening. Forthcoming was so much fun for all of us.  We loved having the school community turn out for the Forthcoming football games last Monday, and the upper school dress up days were spectacular.  It has given us all more entertainment than we have had in a long time.  These special weeks make everything seem right with our world.
We have all been busy preparing for the Fall Festival which will be held tonight in the east parking lot. It is great to have volunteers back in our building and helping with these extra events.  Thanks to a great team, the Fall Festival will be a banner night for us all. There will be food, games, music, and mayhem. Both Chick-fil-A and Dillas will be here to provide dinner choices.
We celebrated Bat Day in first grade on Friday with a creepy bat hallway, special lights, and bat costumes.  This is one of our favorite traditions, and the children came dressed for the occasion.  Our teachers are so creative and fun that learning is easy!
We are lucky to add Jillian Simpson as our upper school academic counselor. She is settling in and getting to know our students, and secondary academic conferences are underway.  Report cards and Skills Mastery Sheets are going home next week, so be on the lookout for those.
Our parents are the best and have worked so hard to make these events meaningful for our students.  We are grateful for all the hard work you do for our school. Please join in the fun tonight for the Fall Festival. Our staff and secondary students will be working hard along with our parents to make this a memorable evening for us all.

Please be sure to read all the way through to the bottom of the newsletter where upcoming events are listed. There are a lot of exciting events on the horizon!
Proud to be a Knight,

PIE (Partners in Education)
We love our parent volunteers! It's been great to see some parents back on campus helping in the classrooms. For volunteer opportunities, stay connected with our PIE Bloomz page with code: HZ42DG and your child's teacher's Bloomz pages too!

We're having an in person PIE meeting on November 11 at 5:30 in the cafeteria. We'd love to see everyone there to learn more about joining the various PIE committees offered.

If you are planning to volunteer on campus, we will need you to fill out the volunteer background check (see the link below).

Secondary Ascender Parent Portal
The Ascender Portal is now available for secondary parents and students to set up an account to view grades. There are four links below. The first two links are the actual websites to login to either the student or parent portal in Ascender. The last two links are instructions for setting up your parent or student account.

Genius Hour is a hallmark of our school. We believe that creativity and innovation is as important as literacy, and Genius Hour provides students with the opportunity to pursue learning opportunities based on their interests. Genius Hour can be making, creating, researching, exploring, and so much more! The key is that students are able to self select projects or topics, have time to grapple with their ideas, and finally have the ability to share their journey with the world. Genius Hour is not a science project; it's so much more! Students in grades K-11 have time built into their weekly schedule to explore Genius Hour.

The Showcase
Trivium Theatre has been busy in class preparing for the first ever “Trivium Theatre Lip Sync Battle”.

Last week, students shared their original “Audience Etiquette” presentations. Shoutout to Iliana Ramirez and Sofia Sandoval, who gave an epic (and educational) performance as the rap duo, “Chilly Illy and Fia-C!”

Rehearsals for the sixth grade musical, “A Little Bit of Showbiz”, are in full swing. We’re talking boas, kick-lines, and top hats! Mark your calendars now for December 3! More information to come!

Theatre Production’s is hard at work rehearsing for their fall show, “Anti-Social”, a comedy about social media by Don Zolidis. Consisting of seven “#relatable” sketches, you’ll laugh, cringe, laugh some more, and maybe even see a surprise cameo or two. Stay tuned for more information about this performance on December 3!
