I wish, O, my Mother, to keep unceasingly before me your co-redemption in order to live intimately with your Heart that is totally united to the Heart of your Divine Son. Tuition assistance is available for CCHS students through the Kara Kloiber Memorial Tuition Assistance Fund. Guidelines and criteria are listed in the application portal.

PTO Back to School News: The PTO is excited to welcome everyone back to campus for the 2021-2022 School Year. These last two years have presented a lot of challenges but our families have been up to the task to keep our faculty/Staff, parents, and students supported through it all. We look forward to being able to get back to some of our usual activities and seeing everyone at Back to School night.
We have already had a lot of exciting activities take place on campus, including:
- Welcome gifts for new Faculty/Staff, welcomed Faculty and Staff back to campus with a grab and go lunch from Nothing But Noodles, a full breakfast buffet, and a Charlotte Catholic branded tumbler for all Faculty/Staff.
- Upperclassman Orientation refreshments and magnets.
- Hosted Freshman Orientation pizza lunch.
- Grade packet stuffing for all classes.
All of these things would not be possible without your generous support. THANK YOU!! All of our activities are 100% funded through dues. Our PTO does not conduct any fundraisers and we have held our dues to $40 per family. We appreciate all of you that have already paid their dues for this year as we work towards getting 100% participation from our families. Inductions will be held before Parent Night on Wednesday September 8 at 5:30 PM in the gym. Parents are welcome to attend. We will do an abbreviated induction and you can pick up your certificates (if you’ve paid your dues) starting Thursday September 9 in RM 213 (before or after school).

News for CCHS Parents
Underclass Picture Day - Wednesday, September 8: Students will receive a flyer this week through homeroom providing online ordering instructions. If you want to purchase with check, fill out the form and return it with your student on picture day. Students must follow school policy regarding hair length, color, and facial hair. Students must wear uniform shirt and will not be allowed to take pictures with hoodie sweatshirts.
Back to School Night is Wednesday, September 8.
Important Safety Reminder: Student drivers and parents are reminded not to use The Waterford Square Apartments as a cut through: We have had multiple reports of speeding on the streets and have been asked by the apartment complex to remind drivers not cut through. Please help prevent accidents and keep our community safe.
Please do NOT drop off or pick up your student at neighboring businesses. The school has has received many calls asking us to not use their parking lots. Please help us be a good neighbor.

10th Anniversary Patriotism Bowl 2021 will feature Charlotte Catholic Cougars versus Blessed Trinity Titans (GA) Friday, September 10th at 7:30 PM at Keffer Stadium. Pre-game show starts at 7:00 PM with CLT UAV Drone Competition, Special Forces Sky Diving Exhibition, Helicopters, Marine Color Guard & 21 Gun Salute. We are expecting a big crowd, plan to arrive early gates open at 5:30pm.

News from the Athletic Trainer: Cougar Families! Do you have unwanted or unused orthopedic equipment (crutches, boots, braces) just laying around your home? If you no longer have a need or want, and would like to declutter please donate them to our Sports Medicine Dept. We will “rehab” these items and put them back into circulation when needed by any of our student athletes here at CCHS.

Counselors' Corner
A college representative will meet in-person, or virtually where indicated, at CCHS with any Sophomore, Junior or Senior student that is interested. A counselor is also present.
- A college rep is the person who reads the application for admission so a face-to-face meeting will serve the student well.
- The student must print a screenshot of the SCOIR registration and have their teacher sign it as their pass.
- A student needs to remember that they are representing CCHS at these meetings so come with some good questions and your best behavior.
- The visits will be listed each Friday for the following week and a complete list is available on SCOIR.
- CCHS students are required to wear a mask while meeting with a college representative.

Attendance

* Please follow these procedures *
Early Dismissal: If your student needs early dismissal, please have them bring a note to the attendance office first thing in the morning with their name and exact time of dismissal. This will allow your student to leave school without a parent entering the building to sign them out.
Return to school after an absence: A parent note is needed for documentation after any student absence.

The school Cafeteria is open before school, during break and all 3 lunches. Cash or a student account may be used for purchase.

Carpool and Parking Information
The paved and gravel lots are closed for construction work.
There is no parking in these lots this year.
The Little Avenue entrance will be closed due to construction of the Fine Arts Center this school year. All traffic entering campus will use the Highway 51 (Pineville-Matthews Road) entrance or the Walsh Boulevard entrance. Traffic exiting via Little Avenue will now be redirected behind the visitors’ side of the stadium and to Walsh Boulevard.
There is no vehicle or pedestrian access to or from Little Avenue.
Carpool Drop off and Pick up Reminders:
Parents may only enter campus to drop off or pick up by entering from 51.
During drop off and pick up only students and faculty parking in the B Deck may enter the campus from Walsh.
There is no drop off in front of or in the parking garage.
The entrance to campus from Pineville-Matthews Road is one way during school hours.
The Little Avenue Entrance is closed due to construction of the Fine Arts Center.
Please do NOT drop off or pick up your student at neighboring businesses.

Canvas Parent Observer Sign Up: Canvas is the learning management system used by CCHS. Please follow these instructions Canvas Information to become an "observer" for your student's classes. It is vital that everyone does this to receive communications from your student's teachers. If you were an observer for your student's classes last year, the status should carry over to their new courses this year.

Inclement Weather
If school is closed, or there is a change to the regular daily schedule due to inclement weather, you will be notified via the email address and telephone number the school has on record.

Parking Permits for Students
Students who have purchased parking passes must park in their assigned spot. Tags were distributed in homeroom and now must be displayed at all times when on campus.

Scheduling of School Facilities and Meetings
CCHS community members wishing to schedule on-campus or Zoom meetings (team parents, and others who would like to schedule facilities cafeteria, library, etc.), need to contact Dr. Maria Leahy MMLeahy@charlottecatholic.com with the date, time, and location to check availability with regard to the school calendar and space.

Student ID and Student Electronic Activity Pass
Every student will be issued a Student ID Card. These cards will be distributed during homeroom during the first few weeks of school. The Student ID Card is no longer the Student Activity Card.
The Student Activity Card is being replaced by the Student Electronic Activity Pass. This Pass is now on sale on the School Store Student Activity Pass (payk12.com) It is $50 per student.
The Student Electronic Activity Pass is good for:
All regular season home athletic events, for any sport (Fall, Winter and Spring).
Entry into plays and musicals put on by CCHS theater and drama department.
10 school wide dress down days.
The Student Electronic Activity Pass purchase will require a student email, this email will be used to create the student’s account to generate e-tickets for each event they attend. New students (including 9th grade students) will get their student email at orientation. ONLY the school-issued email address can be used for the Student Electronic Activity Pass.

Yearbook
Purchases available on the school store:
Senior 2020-2021- Yearbook with Name stamp - Seniors have the option of purchasing a yearbook with his or her name engraved on it. This purchase must be made by January 14. Otherwise, you always have the option of purchasing an underclass book without the engraving. Cost is $90.00
Underclass 2020-2021-Yearbook - Cost $85.00
After purchase please keep a copy of your receipt.
Senior Baby Ads - Deadline for Baby Ads is November 2.
