All your favorite events will be returning - the artisan craft fair, the car show, costume parade, and more - and we'll be introducing some new events!
This year, the artisan craft fair, which has been held at the beach under a large tent, will be held at
Dorothea Jacobs Grant Common, our town park nestled next to the Ogunquit Heritage Museum, just a five minute walk from downtown.
We are looking forward to hosting this popular event in this new, more intimate setting.

What type of business/services do you provide?
Small, newly renovated inn in Ogunquit with five beautiful, ocean-themed suites, just steps from Marginal Way & Shore Road. (Prior to Lighthouse Landing, the property was owned by Beachmere Inn and known as Bullfrog Cottage.)
How long have you been in the business?
We are very excited to have opened Lighthouse Landing for our first season in the summer of 2021! We had our ribbon cutting on August 3, 2021 and I would like to thank Alice Pearce, Dawn Burns and Torri Jandebeur at the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce for helping to make it such a special event for me and my family. What makes your business special?
Lighthouse Landing reflects my family’s love for Ogunquit and for spending time together here by the ocean. My mom, who loved Ogunquit, passed away 27 years ago and it has always been a very special place for me where I can come and feel close to her. I really wanted Lighthouse Landing to have a feeling of home, where others can visit and enjoy the beauty and joy of Ogunquit. It’s been a really fun adventure and a true team effort with amazing people in a place that I love. I’m incredibly grateful for my family and friends who have supported and encouraged me, for Irene Crocker who is helping me as the property manager and for everyone who has helped and had a part in making Lighthouse Landing so special.
Is there anything else you would like us to know about your business?
Amazing Location!! The property is perfectly located at the top of Israel Head Road in walking distance to the beaches, town, Perkins Cove and the Marginal Way. In addition to the beautiful suites, we have a lovely yard and outdoor space to enjoy during the day or grill in the evening. As you pull into the parking area, you will see the ocean from the top of Israel Head Road which is one of my favorite views in Ogunquit!

Finding Freedom with Horses:
In our fall special, we are offering sessions to friends interested in exploring the concepts of leadership, balance and oneness while working with our small herd of horses.
Journey into their world and learn how to listen and observe behaviors, discovering not just what it means to the horses, but how it relates to our own lives. We then transition into exploratory activities that help us discover aspects of leadership that are a bit unexpected. Prepare for a lot of laughs during this part! Take away a fresh perspective about yourself, the way you interact with the world around you, and a sense of confidence.

OGUNQUIT PERFORMING ARTS PRESENTS ANDY HAPPEL & FRIENDS AT THE 21ST ANNUAL KITE FESTIVAL-SEPTEMBER 11TH
Portland fiddler/singer Andy Happel will provide high-flying music on Ogunquit Beach in two concerts for the Capriccio Festival of Kites on Saturday, September 11, from 10-11:30am and 2-3:30pm. Andy plans to bring along some musician friends to join in the joyous fun, playing selections from his repertoire of exotic tunes and lilting rhythms.
Sponsored by Ogunquit Performing Arts, Happel will perform as part of the 21st Annual Capriccio Festival of Kites, with activities from 9am-2pm.

The event features professional kite flying demonstrations, with multiples, and oversized kites filling the sky. Children are provided with free, white kites, along with colorful markers and crayons. They can decorate their own kites, which are then entered into a contest of many categories and prizes. At the end comes the climactic Grand Ascension, filling the sky with everyone's kite in the air at the same time.
Admission to the Festival and the Andy Happel concerts is free.
