The season of Advent is here...the dawning of a new Church year! For us at All Saints Catholic School, this season has special significance. We are blessed in our Catholic school setting to celebrate the true meaning of Advent and Christmas. " Rejoice, Christ is coming" is our scriptural focus for this Advent season. Every week the students and teachers will gather in the theater for a prayer service and lighting of the advent wreath with Fr. Perrella.

During the weeks of Advent, we encourage you to take time in your homes for reflection, prayer and family talks during the hustle & bustle of preparing for Christmas. The best gift we can give our children is ourselves. Years from now, their fondest memories will be the times just spent being together with us.

The sacrament of Reconciliation will be available for the students every Tuesday and Thursday after Mass during the season of Advent.

Angel Day of Giving: Tomorrow!

Giving Tuesday is our official kick-off and one-day effort to raise money for our annual fund.  Our goal is to secure $25,000 this year in 24 hours. Last year we raised a little over $20,000. We have a donor who will donate $5,000 if we raise that amount by noon on Tuesday!

This year the money raised will go toward campus safety and facility upgrades. The class with the highest participation will win a special lunch! Share our giving link with family and friends and help us achieve this important goal.

Please watch the school website for information from Mrs. Brown concerning the performance.

Winter Weather Reminders

With winter knocking at our door, we will be sending emergency alerts (text and phone messages) to let you know if school has been canceled , delayed or if there will be an early dismissal due to inclement weather or any other emergency situation. Moving forward, it is important that parents have their phones turned on during the school day so that they will be sure to get the messages.

With lower temperatures upon us, please be sure that your child is adequately dressed for school with a coat or a jacket. We go outside for recess every day (unless it is raining or snowing) as long as the temperature is at least 32 degrees.

Toys for Tots Collection

All Saints Catholic School will be participating in a “Toys for Tots” collection. New unwrapped toys for infants through age 14 are needed for those less fortunate this holiday season. Bins will be in the school foyer until December 12. Your generosity is appreciated.

Mass with Bishop Caggiano

On Friday December 2 at 9am, Bishop Caggiano will be at All Saints to celebrate Mass for our school family. Parents, grandparents and family members are welcome to join us for this special mass. If you plan on attending, please let us know here.

Don't Miss the Yearbook Deadline 12/9!

Reminders:

Picture Retakes will be on December 5. Please be sure to wear your uniform.

School will be closed on Thursday, December 8.  It is the feast of the Immaculate Conception and a holy day of obligation in the Catholic Church. Please attend Mass at your local parish with your children to honor Mary on this special day.

December 15 will be an early dismissal day for Staff In-Service for the school accreditation. There is NO Extended Day Program. Please be on time for pick up.

Calendar Change: January 30 is now a full day of school w/ extended day.

Be well, stay safe, and God bless!
